We believe Gillingham is full of energy, creativity and community spirit. Gillingham Rising exists to help connect that energy, celebrate what is already happening, and support new ideas that make the town feel active, welcoming and alive.
What we do
Events
Creating and supporting local events and seasonal activity that bring people into Gillingham.
High Street
Working with local businesses, groups and organisations to encourage more energy, visibility and footfall.
Community
Creating practical ways for people to connect, contribute and feel proud of the place they live.
What’s happening next
Harvest on the Meadow will take place on Sunday 27 September 2026 on the Meadow at the bottom of Gillingham High Street.
We are planning a seasonal community event celebrating local produce, food, farming, creativity and connection, with opportunities for local traders, community groups, volunteers and businesses to get involved.
There will also be a Halloween event and further community activity in the build-up to Christmas.
